Building confidences

We’re doing three rounds in a row of everybody-sings voice class sessions (rather than a handful of people doing coaching sessions), and today was the second round (Friday was the first).  Both of mine have gone pretty well, for me, I think.  I’m feeling less breathlessly nervous, giving the instructor the ability to critique acting instead of just vocal technique, which is a nice feeling of progress.

I still struggle to build a repertoire I like, not wanting to get stuck within a group of songs that I wouldn’t want to sing outside of voice class, but the more confidence I build, the easier that’ll be.

Cat Brain is starting to let go of the “you can’t do this” chatter, letting Squirrel Brain start to think ahead to how this can get better than “good enough”.  This is nice.
