Sometimes you just need a day. Things need doing, but the doing just has to wait. I think that’s a convergence of all three modes of Animal Time, but I suspect the primary weight is on Cat Time.

Cat Brain, being rooted in the past, carries the knowledge of how much you’ve done and the toll it all took. Dog Brain is always up for indulging the whim of the moment. Squirrel Brain sees all the things yet to do, and it knows that it’ll be most successful if the Whole Brain (that’s a new one) is in balance.

So honor Cat Brain from time to time with a day of Dog Brain in order to respect the ability for Squirrel Brain to keep you on track tomorrow.

Convoluted, but powerful.
